Your Core Responsibilities

• Enable high-quality research using fundamental option pricing data.
• Centralise data curation to increase researchers' focus and enable quick onboarding of new data sets.
• Build tooling that supports data curators and exposes data to research tooling for global access.
• Write reliable, high-performance software balancing production speed with quality and testability.
• Use advanced automated testing and daily deployments to achieve agile and incremental improvements.
• Consider trade-offs between latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, and maintainability within IMC’s complex systems.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications and automations for data curators, VMM developers, traders, and researchers.
• Participate in architectural design of a young, high-performance system serving petabytes of data globally.

Requirements

• More than 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (11+); experience with the latest Java versions highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux.
• Strong programming skills with Python, especially for data-related tasks (highly preferred).
• Experience in data analysis and building data platforms (highly preferred).
• Ability to work independently with full ownership of applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with creative and proactive problem-solving.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn; prior trading or capital markets knowledge is not required.
