Staff Engineer - Growth - Verifications

Requirements

• Around eight years building and running production systems, with a track record of owning a domain's technical direction
• Deep, fluent expertise in Rust, with the ability to work across TypeScript and React
• Experience in setting architecture that held up and eliminating specific classes of failure
• Ability to mentor and enhance the abilities of senior engineers
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, service contracts, and secure design
• Familiarity with technologies like gRPC, Temporal, Docker, Kubernetes, and more

Nice to Haves

• Direct experience with KYC, KYB, or fraud work
• Comfort working with AI in the loop
• Experience in crypto, fintech, or regulated industries

What You'll Be Doing

• Setting the shape of verification services and their contracts
• Designing fail-closed behavior and audit trails for regulatory compliance
• Identifying and removing classes of recurring failures
• Writing and driving architecture decisions and security considerations
• Mentoring engineers and improving team efficiency
