Requirements

• Strong commercial Kotlin experience
• Ability to write simple, clean code
• Experience and understanding of relational databases; NoSQL knowledge is a plus
• Ability to quickly understand complex financial business domains
• Rapid comprehension of different software architectures
• Understanding of abstraction and interpolation
• Ability to write comprehensive, automated tests at all levels of the pyramid
• Understanding of the Kanban agile methodology (not mandatory)
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
• Desire to continually learn, improve, and collaborate
• Problem solver who knows when to seek help from peers
• Rational thinker aware of the reasons behind their methods
• Pragmatic approach weighing tradeoffs between code quality and delivery

What You'll Be Doing

• Contributing to design discussions and delivering elegant solutions to complex engineering challenges
• Building and integrating new APIs to support new collections functions
• Creating new internal tools and supporting expansion of products and services, especially in the US
• Participating in frequent collaborative design forums involving stakeholders from across the business
• Continuously improving software engineering capabilities and contributing to a positive and productive team environment
