Requirements

Proven track record of building and scaling production payments infrastructure from architecture to ongoing operations.
Deep experience with payment processing, recurring billing, provider integrations, and reconciliation.
Excellent judgment in distributed systems focusing on financial correctness, idempotency, consistency, and failure recovery.
Experience leading engineers through complex architectural decisions, migrations, and production incidents.
Engineering leadership with technical depth to simplify complex systems and improve team decision quality.

What you'll be doing

Build critical payment systems including payment flows, recurring billing, and provider integrations from design to production.
Set technical direction by guiding architectural decisions, reviewing code, and solving challenging problems.
Own system reliability by investigating production issues, enhancing observability, and improving failure handling and scalability.
Lead engineering delivery by planning complex problems, coaching engineers, and ensuring high-quality system operation.
Connect engineering efforts to business outcomes by collaborating with Payments, Product, Finance, and Operations teams.

Experience with the following technologies: React, Typescript, Golang, Rust, Cloudflare, GCP, AWS, Clickhouse, Firestore, Spanner, BigQuery, CI/CD, OTEL, Kubernetes, Terraform.
