Requirements

• Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
• Advanced technical experience defining, designing, developing or operating large-scale network architectures
• Experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) or controller-based networking
• Deep experience with network architecture and routing technologies
• Experience developing or influencing network automation, infrastructure as code, telemetry, testing systems

Nice to Haves

• Experience delivering network designs into production with live site accountability
• Experience developing quality management programs
• Experience applying AI agent based systems to network engineering or operations
• Demonstrated ability to research and evaluate emerging networking, hardware, software and AI technologies

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation and adoption of technologies, protocols and solutions for network architectures
• Work across teams to develop network architectures and drive technical decisions
• Develop new approaches to address weaknesses in network architecture and processes
• Lead in automated network testing, validation, and analytics
• Provide technical leadership during complex production incidents and translate findings for improvements
