Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years programming experience in C++ and Rust
• Strong background in memory safety, multi-threaded system architecture, or raw data stream manipulation
• Proven ability to onboard quickly and deliver complex software projects
• Track record of independently scoping and completing complex features on tight schedules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Haves

• Previous contributions to Mozilla mission and codebase
• Experience with browser technologies such as Gecko, Chromium, or WebKit
• Interest or experience in designing or applying ML pipelines for developer workflow automation
• Deep understanding of web architecture, privacy/security models, and client-side data structures
• Basic knowledge of statistical modeling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL

What You'll Be Doing

• Implement privacy-improving, anti-tracking, and threat intelligence protections in Firefox
• Advance the architecture of Gecko, Firefox’s browser engine
• Write performant, low-latency, and maintainable code in C++, JavaScript, and Rust
• Collaborate as part of a geographically distributed team, primarily across Europe and US-East, working asynchronously
