What you'll be doing

Work with engineers, product managers, and customers to design, build, and operate the AI systems behind UiPath's document processing products.
Build across the pipeline including ingestion, parsing and extraction, indexing and retrieval, and evaluation of system effectiveness.
Take features from idea to production, measure their impact, and improve them based on results.
Solve challenging problems in concurrency, latency, and distributed systems to ensure platform reliability under high-volume workloads.
Develop for diverse environments such as multi-cloud, on-premises, air-gapped, and with strict security and compliance requirements.
Utilize coding agents as part of the development toolbox and help improve their effective use within the team.
Collaborate with teams across UiPath and occasionally directly with customers to innovate and build best-in-class document processing solutions.
Contribute to engineering culture by mentoring, reviewing, hiring, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

7+ years of experience building and operating large-scale commercial services dependent on by real customers.
Strong programming skills and ability to learn new languages as needed (experience with Python, Rust, and C# is helpful but not required).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerized deployments using Kubernetes.
Understanding of production system shipping, monitoring, and scaling processes.
Comfort working with data at scale, including SQL and various storage and search system trade-offs.
Experience with coding agents and their responsible use in software development.
Appreciation for tools that prevent bugs such as type systems, tests, and robust designs.
Pragmatic approach to computer science fundamentals, focusing on real-world problem-solving.
Strong opinions on good code and architecture with the ability to discuss and defend them.
A builder and problem-solver mindset.

Experience shipping LLM-backed products to production, including prompting, evaluation, and trust-building features.
Familiarity with document processing technologies like OCR, layout analysis, and handling real-world document variability.
