Requirements

Hands-on experience building or making substantial contributions to large-scale distributed systems.
Strong backend engineering experience, including relational databases, event-driven systems and proficiency in an object-oriented language.
A product mindset: able to explain customer problems, why solutions matter, and how to assess impact.
Ability to take ownership with autonomy, navigate ambiguity, and involve experts when needed.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to explain technical decisions and work effectively across teams.
Curiosity about the business domain and willingness to learn about partner usage of products.

Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge in payments, financial technology, funding, settlement or foreign exchange.

Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable services in Java and Spring Boot within microservices architecture.
Apply domain-driven design to build robust, scalable solutions.
Lead development efforts in event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging systems.
Architect, design, and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL for performance and scalability.

Participate in code reviews, champion best coding practices, and mentor junior engineers.
