Requirements

Strong background in software engineering with significant contributions to large, impactful projects in complex production domains
Experience with Java or similar object-oriented programming language
Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable systems with long-term iteration in mind
Ownership of availability, reliability, and security of built systems following best engineering practices
Ability to balance trade-offs between speed, scalability, and risk while maintaining a predictable delivery cadence
Ability to work on ambiguous and complex problems with autonomy

Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend services written in Java using Spring Boot, deployed on AWS cloud infrastructure
Building and maintaining event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing of financial events across distributed services
Contributing to and driving architectural decisions to ensure quality, reliability, and observability
Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and technical debt
Participating in on-call rotations to monitor and respond to production incidents for Tier 1 critical services
Conducting code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to engineering standards
