Requirements

• Deep experience building and operating Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure in production.
• Strong software engineering skills using Go, Python, or similar languages to build maintainable tools and automation.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform, and designing systems for use by other engineering teams.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical projects across teams, including architecture, delivery, and operations.
• Strong judgment on trade-offs involving distributed systems, networking, security, reliability, and cloud cost.
• Clear communication skills and ability to align teams around practical technical directions.

What you'll be doing

• Set technical direction for shared AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure balancing reliability, security, developer experience, and cost.
• Lead initiatives from design through rollout and operation, coordinating across Wolt, Deliveroo, and DoorDash, focusing on GPU workloads.
• Evolve Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, identity systems, and infrastructure provisioning for growing workloads.
• Build reusable Terraform patterns and self-service tooling for safe and consistent infrastructure provisioning.
• Improve deployment and operational practices including GitOps, observability, capacity planning, incident response, and recovery.
• Use production signals and developer feedback to identify platform friction and prioritize improvements.
• Support platform operations, with a deep focus on GPU infrastructure and broader compute infrastructure.
• Sunset legacy infrastructure and tooling gracefully, reducing operational toil.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, implementations, and incident responses to improve infrastructure quality.
