Requirements

• Deep experience building and operating Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure in production.
• Strong software engineering skills using Go, Python, or similar languages for maintainable tools and automation.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform.
• Proven track record leading complex technical work across teams including architectural decisions and operational follow-through.
• Strong judgment on trade-offs in distributed systems, networking, security, reliability, and cloud cost.
• Clear communication skills and ability to unify teams around practical technical directions.

• Familiarity with GPU workloads and orchestration.

What you'll be doing

• Set technical direction for shared AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure balancing reliability, security, developer experience, and cost.
• Lead initiatives from design to rollout and operation across Wolt, Deliveroo, and DoorDash, focusing on GPU-targeted workloads.
• Evolve Kubernetes clusters, cloud networking, identity, and infrastructure provisioning to support diverse workloads.
• Build reusable Terraform patterns and self-service tools for safe and consistent infrastructure provisioning.
• Improve deployment and operational practices including GitOps, observability, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Use production data and developer feedback to identify platform friction and guide investments.
• Support platform operation with focus on GPU infrastructure and general compute.
• Sunset legacy infrastructure and tooling while creating toil reduction strategies.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews, implementation, and incident management to raise infrastructure quality.
