Embedded Software Engineer, Ring

Requirements

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience with at least one modern language like Java, C++, or C#
• Experience with an RTOS in a production environment
• Experience in low-level drivers and interrupt service routines
• Experience in testing discipline in an embedded context
• Experience owning a software component end to end

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle
• Experience with wireless protocols like BLE, Wi-Fi
• Experience with firmware development and testing of battery-powered products
• Experience with common bus protocols like SPI, I2C, UART
• Experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto, or BSP development
• Experience with development tools like IAR, Keil, or equivalent
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python
• Experience building or integrating AI or ML capabilities into embedded or IoT products
• Experience with AWS IoT services or cloud-connected device development

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and implement firmware for IoT devices
• Own firmware components end to end
• Define and implement software interfaces
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack
• Contribute to and maintain CI pipelines and test infrastructure
• Work closely with other teams to translate requirements into firmware
