Requirements

• Excellent visual design taste and execution skills in UI/UX.
• Ability to both design and code, combining excellence in both disciplines.
• Experience designing products and shipping code to hundreds of users.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and CSS at a minimum; backend proficiency is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal process and take ownership of projects end-to-end.
• Strong collaboration and deliberate communication skills.
• Ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback and ship fast.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with major contributions to design systems.
• Practiced a Design Engineering role professionally combining design and engineering.
• Familiarity with backend technologies like Node.js, Postgres, and Redis.
• Experience with AI-powered tools for software development or automation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and coding solutions that address challenging design problems.
• Expanding and enhancing the in-house design system for consistent, composable components.
• Consulting on bespoke design work with Product Engineers.
• Working on a product at scale impacting over 100,000 weekly active users and major customers.
• Collaborating in a high-ownership, low-process engineering culture.
• Shipping product changes quickly and iterating with direct user feedback.
• Contributing to tools and abstractions that increase engineering leverage without increasing team size.
• Participating in an interview process that focuses on past projects, pair programming, and design collaboration.
