Requirements

• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Technical credibility to review designs and understand trade-offs in distributed systems and web-scale data pipelines.
• Ability to manage teams across multiple technical domains such as search/indexing, protocol standards, and UI engineering.
• Strong focus on reliability and quality, especially for systems producing data used by users and AI agents.
• Excellent product judgment and collaboration skills with Product Management.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and creating structure from unclear roadmaps.
• Clear communication skills with ability to explain complex technical decisions to diverse audiences.

Nice to Haves

• Strong background in distributed systems, web-scale data platforms, agentic architectures, or Internet infrastructure.
• Experience building customer-facing products involving content indexing, crawling, analytics, or complex user interactions.
• Background in operation of systems where correctness, data quality, and reliability are as important as feature delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Manage, coach, and grow engineering teams across Agentic Discovery products, AEO tooling, and agent-web interaction standards.
• Set clear priorities and create predictable delivery processes, empowering engineers to own meaningful product areas.
• Lead development of tools to make content Readable, Discoverable, and Callable for autonomous AI agents.
• Develop tools enabling customers to test, observe, measure, and control AI agent interactions with their sites and apps.
• Collaborate with Product Management to define roadmaps and convert opportunities into engineering outcomes.
• Explore how Cloudflare’s global network and edge signals enable unique agentic products at scale.
• Balance immediate product delivery with thoughtful technical investment for growth.
• Maintain operational health including observability, incident response, data quality, and system reliability.
• Develop technical leaders within the team and foster engineer-led architecture and implementation.
