What You'll Be Doing

• Build Developer Tooling: Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and tooling that provide relevant context to AI coding agents across complex codebases and workflows.
• Own Technical Projects: Independently manage technical projects from design through delivery and adoption, making sound technical decisions and measuring impact.
• Build for Reliability & Scale: Ensure developer tooling systems remain reliable, performant, and secure, using observability and feedback to improve continuously.
• Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders across Deliveroo, DoorDash, and Wolt to understand challenges and drive AI tooling adoption.
• Support Peers & Grow: Share technical knowledge, provide feedback, help unblock colleagues, and contribute to hiring and interviews as the team expands.

Requirements

• Strong Engineering Fundamentals: Experience building and operating production systems at scale with a solid understanding of software architecture and writing maintainable code.
• AI-Native Engineering: Hands-on experience using AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor in the software development lifecycle, understanding AI agent context and execution.
• Autonomy & Judgement: Ability to solve complex problems independently, navigate ambiguity, communicate clearly, and maintain high standards of quality in work.
• Customer-Driven Iteration: Experience working directly with end users to gather feedback, understand workflows, and use data to improve tools continuously.
• Dogfooding Mindset: Active experimentation with AI tools, building solutions for encountered problems, and curiosity about emerging capabilities in developer tooling.
