What You'll Be Doing

• Guide cross-team technical designs and help create a team-wide high level architecture
• Lead best practices for development, ensuring a reliable, scalable foundation and an engaging user experience for customers
• Contribute and lead technical plans and direction within the team and across other product teams in Elastic
• Be part of a distributed team of engineers from all across the globe
• Collaborate with other teams within Elastic, including Support and Elasticsearch engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality code
• Previous experience providing pragmatic technical leadership for a group of engineers
• Knowledge of back-end languages such as Scala, Java, or Go
• Technical depth in one or more technologies relevant for SaaS (orchestration, networking, containers, etc.)
• Passion for automation and quality
