What You'll Be Doing

Guide cross-team technical designs and help create a team-wide high level architecture
Lead best practices for development, ensuring a reliable, scalable foundation and an engaging user experience for customers
Contribute and lead technical plans and direction within the team and across other product teams in Elastic
Be part of a distributed team of engineers from across the globe
Collaborate with other teams within Elastic, including Support engineers and Elasticsearch engineers

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality code
Previous experience providing pragmatic technical leadership for a group of engineers
Knowledge of back-end languages such as Scala, Java, or Go
Technical depth in one or more technologies relevant for SaaS (orchestration, networking, containers, etc.)
Passion for automation and quality
