Requirements

• Deep expertise in Site Reliability, Platform, Infrastructure, or Backend Engineering
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, infrastructure as code, etc.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals in languages like Go, Ruby, Python, etc.
• Track record of technical leadership and driving complex initiatives
• Experience leading platform or infrastructure transformations
• Exceptional technical communication and influence skills

• Set technical direction for GitLab Dedicated and shape platform strategy
• Lead platform transformations across various areas
• Drive scalable, modular architecture aligned with GitLab's strategy
• Strengthen service ownership and operational maturity
• Identify and address reliability and scalability risks
• Establish reusable platform patterns and automation
• Lead complex technical decisions and advance engineering excellence
