What you'll be doing

• Own the strategy and roadmap for GitLab Dedicated, scaling the platform with customer growth and aligning with cellular architecture.
• Partner with Product and executive leadership to meet growth targets focusing on platform reliability, faster onboarding, cost efficiency, and self-service administration.
• Lead engineering teams responsible for tenant orchestration, integrations, resilience, incident response, Switchboard control plane, compliance, and enterprise migrations.
• Deliver GitLab Dedicated for Government with AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP readiness, air-gapped isolation, and public sector feature delivery.
• Make enterprise migrations to Dedicated predictable and low-disruption using self-service tooling and guided workflows.
• Hire, coach, and scale engineering managers and integrate AI-enabled workflows within the organization.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Customer Support to align customer commitments and architectural investments.

Requirements

• Experience leading engineering organizations managing enterprise single or multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure and cloud platforms at scale.
• Proven track record improving production reliability, reducing toil, or lowering infrastructure costs.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native and cellular architectures, Infrastructure as Code, and modular scalable services across cloud environments.
• Experience delivering and operating enterprise platforms under strict compliance regimes such as FedRAMP and AWS GovCloud.
• Proven leadership in organizational changes, including adoption of AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering efficiency.
• Ability to translate financial targets into engineering investments, headcount planning, and execution roadmaps.
• Leadership approach emphasizing ownership, speed with quality, and customer outcome focus.

• Public Sector Platforms & Compliance: AWS GovCloud infrastructure, FedRAMP operations, air-gapped isolation, and Geo replication.
• Enterprise Migrations & Import Tooling: migration programs, tooling, direct transfers, and guided import workflows to ensure smooth customer transitions.
