Requirements

• Experienced building LLM-based applications and agentic systems
• Skilled at navigating complex systems and turning complexity into clean abstractions
• Comfortable reasoning about state, concurrency, and asynchronous workflows
• Product-minded and excited about designing APIs and developer experiences
• Interested in exploring emerging patterns in agent architecture rather than simply applying established ones
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a remote environment

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop core functionality for the LiveKit Agents framework
• Help define the text modality of the framework, enabling agents to interact with users across channels such as SMS
• Design abstractions for stateful and durable agentic workflows, allowing agents to maintain state and coordinate work across extended interactions
• Shape agent-to-agent communication and delegation patterns to enable collaboration and task hand-offs between voice agents
• Build simple and powerful developer APIs over complex distributed and real-time systems
• Iterate quickly based on feedback from the developer community
• Write clear documentation, examples, and reference implementations
• Work primarily with Python and TypeScript
