Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with Java or Python as your primary language
Proficient on Linux platforms and strong understanding of Git
Deep knowledge of one or more relevant database technologies such as Iceberg, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
Embracing agentic engineering — willingness and ability to work effectively with AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflow
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently and gather requirements from stakeholders

Nice to Haves

Strong academic record and a degree with high mathematical and computing content e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics
Familiarity with distributed systems and orchestration
Experience with performance optimization and large-scale data processing
Contributions to open-source projects
Experience with market data
Expertise in streaming or real-time data processing

Build and ship features on a high-throughput streaming platform processing billions of market data points daily
Tackle hard distributed systems problems at a scale few engineers encounter
Work closely with quant researchers and traders to turn complex requirements into elegant platform solutions
Drive platform reliability through rigorous incident response, root-cause analysis, and systemic fixes
Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful code review and mentoring of junior team members
