Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in data science including working with structured/unstructured data, applying statistical methods, and communicating results.
• Software engineering experience with best practices including code quality, repository hygiene, code reviews, unit testing, design documentation, continuous integration, and deployment.
• Ability to meet Microsoft and customer/government security screening requirements, including passing Microsoft Cloud background checks.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in customer-facing roles, project delivery, professional services, and/or consulting.
• Track record delivering exploratory data science and machine learning projects addressing real-world problems.
• Knowledge of distributed big-data computing systems such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and Azure ML.
• Experience with experimentation frameworks and measuring end-user-impacting metrics.
• Experience with ML tools like Python, R, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ML.NET.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation for applications.

What You'll Be Doing

• Apply data analysis, AI, and modelling to understand user behaviour and inform product improvements.
• Write robust, reusable, and extensible code for analysis, modelling, and operationalization at scale.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate analysis, experimentation, and development.
• Develop and maintain metrics and evaluation frameworks to assess service quality and impact.
• Present clear, actionable insights to senior leaders and stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with local and remote teams to deliver scalable and impactful solutions.
• Acquire, prepare, and validate datasets, contributing to best practices in data collection and quality.
• Evaluate and improve products to ensure intelligent services evolve to meet user needs.
• Design, evaluate, and optimize prompts and fine-tuning strategies for large language models.
