Requirements

5+ years of backend engineering experience (8+ for Staff level) with production systems at scale
Strong backend experience in a statically compiled language (e.g., Rust, Go, C#, C++)
Solid fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, data modeling, and asynchronous processing
Experience in precision-critical domains such as financial systems, double-entry ledgers, or reconciliation
Pragmatic, autonomous, and ownership-driven mindset with strong communication skills
Strong critical thinking, including productive use of AI tools while maintaining correctness and security
Interest in crypto, stablecoins, and future payments; prior crypto experience is a plus (required for Track 3)

Nice to haves

Professional or hobby experience writing Rust (including open-source contributions)
Experience with fiat payments, banking integrations, card networks, or PSPs
Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML, sanctions screening, or regulated financial products (Track 1)
Background in custody, key management (MPC/HSM), or institutional-grade security (Track 2)
Smart contract development in Solidity (EVM) or Rust (Solana), and experience with on-chain indexing or node infrastructure (Track 3)
Experience working in regulated, multi-jurisdiction environments

Design, build, and operate high-throughput backend services in Rust handling financial transactions with strong correctness and audit guarantees
Own features end-to-end: from product spec shaping through implementation to deployment and monitoring
Integrate with external partners such as banks, payment processors, blockchains, and compliance vendors
Improve engineering quality involving observability, incident response, security, and API design
Collaborate closely with product, compliance, and engineering teams globally
(Staff level) Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive architecture spanning multiple teams

Operate in small, senior, high-throughput teams with real ownership and customer access
Work in a hybrid role based in Berlin, London, or New York offices
