Requirements

Commercial experience building Android applications
Good knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development
Experience with Jetpack Compose, or an interest in developing skills with it
Understanding of common mobile development principles, patterns and testing practices
Experience building and releasing features as part of a collaborative product team
Ability to write clear, maintainable and well-tested code
Good collaboration and communication skills
Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of work
Curiosity and genuine desire to continue learning and developing as an engineer

Contributed to reusable components or modules
Enjoy working closely with product and design to solve customer problems
Comfortable owning features while asking for support when needed

Collaborating with designers, product managers and other engineers to build high-quality customer experiences
Designing, building and shipping Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Contributing to development of the in-house Server-Driven UI framework
Supporting and improving mobile infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Google Play deployment workflows and automated UI testing
Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
Focusing on UI detail, accessibility and overall app experience
Building understanding of backend systems and APIs powering the app
Monitoring released features and resolving issues as they arise
Contributing to engineering standards and practices across the Mobile Engineering group
