About the Team and the Role

• The Change Systems team owns the platforms that make fleet-wide change possible at Netflix

What You Will Be Doing

• Be a thought partner to Organization Champions, Campaign Managers, Campaign Recipients, and engineering leadership
• Own the technical architecture direction for a composable, declarative platform
• Serve as a credible technical advisor to your team
• Drive AI-first ways of working across the team
• Raise the team's rigor around impact
• Own the operational excellence of a platform
• Communicate complex technical and product tradeoffs clearly
• Lead, hire, coach, and develop a team of engineers
• Foster a strong culture of accountability

What We Are Looking For

• Experience building and operating platform systems that support large-scale, business-critical use cases
• Strong technical acumen in distributed systems and developer platforms
• Experience building and leading inclusive engineering teams
• Strong long-term strategic thinking and a platform mindset
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence without authority
• Rigor in decision-making
• Fluency with AI-assisted engineering
• Strong technical writing skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with large-scale code migration or modernization campaigns
• Experience building or operating fleet-management, dependency graph, or service catalog systems
• Background in platform or infrastructure engineering organizations
• Familiarity with Java or Python in a backend services context
• Experience designing platforms where agents are first-class consumers
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred: EC2, S3, EKS/Kubernetes)
