Senior Backend Engineer

Requirements:

• You have 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer designing complex, fast-growing systems that didn't exist before you.
• You can write advanced SQL statements beyond basic SELECT and UPDATE statements.
• You hold a high bar for quality and instinctively know which details matter.
• You’re customer-obsessed.
• You’re a builder, not an implementer.
• You can quickly familiarize yourself with code you didn't write yourself.
• You’re scrappy and biased toward shipping.
• You communicate clearly, both in real-time and asynchronously.
• You’ve shipped meaningful user-facing features to production.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in Python.
• Experience in PostgreSQL.
• Experience building SDKs.
• Shipped a mobile app with in-app purchases.
• Some experience with React and SPA applications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Meet frequently with your team and mentor to get up to speed.
• Set up and get familiar with repositories, task management, and the dev environment.
• Implement and ship your first project.
• Get familiar with RevenueCat’s tools and infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to reliability and quality across the codebase.
