Requirements

Experience designing, building, and deploying backend microservices in Java and Spring Boot.
Familiarity with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and microservices patterns.
Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, comfortable with OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2, and versioning strategies.
Ability to design and maintain relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), including query performance, indexing, and data modelling.
Skilled in mapping complex technical landscapes and writing clear documentation.
Reliable delivery and good work management without needing constant supervision.
Strong collaboration skills with adjacent teams and ability to unblock dependencies independently.
Understanding of enterprise customer needs including reliability, auditability, compliance, and security as integral design elements.

Nice to haves

Experience building enterprise portals, partner platforms, or B2B SaaS products.
Understanding of payment systems and complexities of cross-border money movement.
Experience with identity and access management technologies (SAML, SSO, SPIFFE, OAuth2).
Familiarity with Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
Experience in a platform team serving multiple internal or external consumers.
Ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
Interest in international finance, foreign exchange, or payments infrastructure.

Building backend microservices for partner-facing features such as fraud reporting, case management, RFI handling, audit logging, and transaction visibility.
Developing the permissions and role-based access control system for the partner portal.
Implementing SSO (SAML 2.0) integration and solving identity mapping between partner systems and Wise.
Extending communication layer services to handle new case types and workflows between Wise and partners.
Designing APIs for partner-facing endpoints with a focus on consistency, documentation, and usability.
Collaborating with FinCrime, Compliance, and KYC teams to integrate sanctions RFI workflows and fraud reporting.
Conducting technical discovery by mapping existing systems, evaluating dependencies, and producing design documents.
Providing production support and debugging live partner issues.
