What you'll be doing

Work with your team to plan, scope, and build consistent experiences across Wise’s native applications and the web with a customer-centric focus.
Collaborate closely with product, design (UI), analytics, and other teams to deliver impactful experiences as part of a cross-functional team.
Take responsibility for the overall health and quality of the iOS project.
Collaborate with other iOS and Android engineers to keep the iOS project current, leveraging new technologies, best practices, and platform consistency.
Ensure code is clean, maintainable, and efficient to maintain application performance, responsiveness, load times, and stability.

Requirements

Proven experience in building and deploying an app that delights customers.
Proficiency in Swift.
Familiarity with software architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, or VIPER (with VIPER and MVVM preferred).
Desire to write testable code.
Understanding of REST API design.
Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, with ability to prioritize work based on user needs and data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team and solve problems independently and proactively.

Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency, or CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with internationalisation patterns for apps supporting multiple markets.
Background in fintech (not required).
