What you'll be doing

• Plan, scope, and build consistent experiences across Wise’s native applications and the web with a customer-centric focus.
• Collaborate closely with product, design (UI), analytics, and other teams across the company to deliver impactful experiences as part of a cross-functional team.
• Take responsibility for the overall health and quality of the iOS project.
• Work with other iOS and Android engineers to keep the iOS project current and leverage new technologies and best practices across platforms.
• Ensure code is clean, maintainable, and efficient to maintain application performance, responsiveness, load times, and stability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building and deploying an app that delights customers.
• Proficiency in Swift.
• Familiarity with software architectural patterns like MVC, MVVM, or VIPER.
• Desire to write testable code.
• Understanding of REST API design.
• Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritizing work with users in mind and making data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work independently and proactively.

Nice to haves

• Experience with SwiftUI, Structured Concurrency, or CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with internationalisation patterns for apps serving many markets.
• Fintech background (not required).
