What you'll be doing

• Build data governance systems including data ownership, lineage, and quality monitoring to ensure trusted data powers every risk decision.
• Design continuous monitoring and validation systems for control assurance, including trigger validation, drift detection, coverage analysis, and control health scoring.
• Implement audit trails, change history tracking, and explainability tooling for regulatory evidence generation.
• Create scalable, high-throughput solutions capable of supporting multiple distinct risk domains.
• Develop data trust by implementing data quality monitoring, data contracts, and lineage tracking for full traceability.
• Deliver continuous assurance by designing automated monitoring systems to validate control effectiveness and detect issues early.
• Enable auditability with infrastructure and tooling that reduce effort for regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with the Risk API team to integrate governance and assurance capabilities into the core platform with shared contracts.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience building high-throughput, data-intensive systems.
• Hands-on expertise with Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL databases, and designing for scale and reliability.
• Experience with data quality frameworks, pipeline orchestration, or lineage tracking.
• Systems thinking skills to understand distributed systems, identify failure modes, and design robust solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership from high-level objectives to delivery.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams, especially with Risk API, Product, and FinCrime stakeholders.
