Requirements

Experience (non-internship) in professional software development, or experience in embedded development in C/C++
Experience with an RTOS in a production environment: task design, inter-task communication, and synchronisation primitives
Experience implementing low-level drivers and interrupt service routines
Experience with testing discipline in an embedded context: unit testing, integration testing, or CI pipelines targeting embedded hardware
Experience owning a software component end to end, from design through to delivery and maintenance

Nice to Haves

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Experience with wireless protocols in a production environment: BLE, Wi-Fi, or similar
Experience with firmware development and testing of battery-powered products
Experience designing software libraries or interfaces consumed by other teams or products
Experience with common bus protocols: SPI, I2C, UART
Experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto, or BSP development
Experience with development tools such as IAR, Keil, or equivalent
Experience with scripting languages such as Python for build automation or test infrastructure
Experience building or integrating AI or ML capabilities into embedded or IoT products
Experience with AWS IoT services or cloud-connected device development

Design and implement firmware for IoT devices running on microcontrollers and RTOS environments
Own software components end to end: design, implementation, code review, testing, and maintenance
Define and implement software interfaces consumed by other teams and services
Debug and resolve issues across the full stack
Contribute to and maintain CI pipelines, build systems, and automated test infrastructure
Work closely with hardware engineers, cloud engineers, and product managers
