Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and C.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• 2 years of experience working with the Linux kernel and Android systems.

Nice to haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• BSP team lead or project lead experience.
• 7 years of Android system software development or management experience.
• 3 years of experience with Android BSP focusing on low-level hardware interactions and device driver integration, or upstream Linux Kernel.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills in English.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and sustain the whole system software stack for Pixel devices.
• Build Google SoC and in-market devices system software kernel sustaining.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software quality.
• Triage product or system issues; debug, track, and resolve by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Review code developed by others and provide feedback to ensure best practices such as style guidelines, code accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
