Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience with full stack development, including back-end (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and front-end (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or Large Language Model interfaces into workflows.

Nice to haves

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years in a technical leadership role leading projects and setting technical direction.
• 3 years working in a complex, matrixed organization with cross-functional or cross-business projects.
• Experience with statistical classification models, false-positive mitigation, and score calibration.
• Experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) in production.

What you'll be doing

• Define and drive the technical strategy, roadmap, and architecture for the GTI Threat Scoring platform and verdict engine within Google Threat Intelligence.
• Mentor and grow mid-level and executive software engineers, fostering clarity, focus, and high standards for code quality, design documentation, and system reliability.
• Serve as a key technical anchor across Google Cloud Security, collaborating with security engineers, threat analysts, and domain experts.
• Architect cloud-native microservices supporting low-latency graph propagation and real-time threat intelligence streaming.
