Trading Systems Engineer

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience supporting a live production environment (especially trading)
• Expert in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux systems
• Proficiency with configuration management tools, particularly SaltStack
• Advanced programming experience focusing on automation and integration; Python is strongly preferred
• Advanced shell (bash) scripting experience

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu
• Project Management Skills
• Architect-level cloud experience in AWS or GCP

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, managing, automating, and optimizing worldwide Linux-based trading infrastructure
• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues across the stack
• Designing and implementing system installations and upgrades
• Deploying, configuring, and testing internal and external applications
• Remaining unfazed by production-critical issues and resolving them quickly
• Benchmarking and tuning the performance of the trading stack
• Holding vendors accountable on performance and reliability issues
• Joining an on-call rotation schedule to cover trading hours and weekend shifts
