What You'll Be Doing

• Own the end-to-end design, reliability, performance, and scaling of Phonehome.next, a Tier-0 telemetry streaming service for enterprise appliances worldwide.
• Safeguard and evolve Protobuf data contracts and gRPC APIs between physical storage appliances and cloud systems, ensuring correctness, throughput, and backward compatibility.
• Serve as a technical partner and consultant for internal engineering teams, guiding architectural integrations and onboarding new platform consumers.
• Design and scale event-driven data streaming pipelines using Kafka, MongoDB, Redis, and Apache Iceberg on AWS.
• Maintain operational excellence with on-call rotations, blameless postmortems, and systemic fixes in production code.
• Drive automated infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native deployments across AWS and Kubernetes using Terraform, with robust CI/CD and observability.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with building and scaling mission-critical, high-throughput distributed systems in production (Tier-0 / 24x7 environments).
• Strong programming skills in Go (Golang) including concurrent programming, memory management, and network I/O.
• Hands-on expertise with event streaming and caching technologies such as Apache Kafka, Redis, and NoSQL stores like MongoDB.
• Proven experience defining API and data schemas with gRPC and Protocol Buffers (Protobuf), focusing on backward compatibility and versioning.
• Solid experience running containerized workloads on Kubernetes and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
• Empathy and communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams, balance operational rigor with developer velocity, and mentor peers.
• Ability to work primarily onsite in the Prague, Czechia office as per company policy.
