Requirements

• Proven experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and establishing operational structures.
• Strong technical background in backend software engineering, operating system internals, systems architecture, or platform infrastructure.
• Ability to deliver complex, multi-team platform initiatives.
• Skill in evaluating architectural trade-offs and making clear technical decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Experience shipping customer-facing products using pragmatic Agile development practices.
• Exceptional communication skills to build trust and align distributed global teams across regions.
• Willingness to work primarily onsite at the Prague office, following company policies.

What you'll be doing

• Hiring, mentoring, and leading a dedicated engineering team to build high-performing talent with clear ownership and development pathways.
• Leading audits to discover and validate non-quantum-safe cryptographic algorithms and implementations in core FlashArray and FlashBlade systems.
• Developing a risk-based remediation roadmap for upgrading cryptographic components, managing dependencies and execution timelines.
• Orchestrating cross-regional collaboration and technical discussions among engineering groups in EMEA, U.S., and APJ.
• Providing concise strategic updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
