Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and maintaining production backend systems in Kotlin, Java, or another object-oriented language
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end through design, launch, measurement, and iteration
• Product-minded builder comfortable making product calls, launching, and iterating on what customers actually do
• Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, or growth engineering
• Comfortable with ambiguity and making tradeoffs between speed and scale

What You'll Be Doing

• Drive end-to-end development of backend services
• Build shared infrastructure for faster experiments
• Evolve integrations with dependent systems
• Design experimentation and attribution instrumentation
• Partner with various teams to translate business goals into product changes
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
• Mentor other engineers

Nice to Haves

• Full-stack experience in web or native front-end changes
• Experience with LLMs or AI platforms
• Building customer-facing features on data products such as scores or recommendations
• Proficient with AI tooling such as Claude, Cursor, and MCP servers
