What you'll be doing

• Building and refining critical controls to protect customer accounts from account takeovers.
• Working in a full-stack capacity with Product & Design to create convenient customer-facing controls and collaborating with data scientists and analysts to improve detection capabilities.
• Delivering real-world impact by securing customers' money, accelerating product growth through automation, and helping engineer a world-class money transfer product.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Java or other JVM-based languages, including the Spring framework.
• Experience building and designing scalable web applications, ideally using React-based frontend applications with Javascript/Typescript.
• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, distributed, and concurrent systems.
• Strong product mindset with accountability and ability to drive projects independently using data-driven decisions.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query optimization and resilient schema design.
• Exceptional fundamentals, problem-solving skills, commitment to Test Driven Development, and best coding practices.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts across teams including Product, Data Science, and Investigations.
• Experience mentoring and growing more junior engineers.

Nice to haves

• Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle including data pipelines, feature engineering, and deploying ML systems into production.
